The warm weather is upon us and with the sun comes the festivals! While Calgary blossoms and blooms grab your grass and head out to enjoy the sights and sounds of our city. Oils and sprays are the best way to consume on the go, but if you are lighting up, please remember to smoke in a designated cannabis consumption area.

Here is a list of our favourite festivals to enjoy this summer.

Sounds of Summer – Fiasco Gelato

June 15, 2019

In its first year, this ‘block party’ festival takes to the street and offers some tasty treats to cool you down.

Fiestival – Olympic Plaza

July 19-21, 2019

Sights, sounds, flavour and movement, this FREE festival will throw your senses into over-drive.

Sled Island – Various Venues

June 19-23, 2019

Five full days of fun, this festival has been the focal point of June in Calgary since 2007. Join in to experience and eclectic mix of music, comedy, film and art.

Calgary Folk Music Festival – Princes Island Park

July 25-28, 2019

Folk Fest has been brining the best of the best to Calgary’s most beautiful park for 40 years!

Lay out your rug and relax at one of the 6 stages. Bring your friends & pack your favourite cannabis spray, oil or capsules.

Calgary International Blues Festival – Shaw Millennium Park

July 29 – August 4, 2019

15 years in, this festival offers workshops, concerts and special events. It also features an all-Aboriginal blues night on August 2nd.

Inglewood Sunfest – 9th Avenue Inglewood

August 3, 2019 11AM-6PM

Celebrate summer at Sunfest. Street performers, great food, local artisans and new music. Historic Inglewood knows how to throw a party.

Chasing Summer Festival – Max Bell Centre Grounds

August 3-4, 2019

Canmore Folk Festival – Centennial Park, Canmore

August 3-5, 2019

Only a short drive away, bask in the glory of the mountains and enjoy the tunes at Alberta’s longest running folk music festival. There are plenty of free events to enjoy around town as well. It’s a great spot for your next mini-vacay.

Taste of Calgary – Eau Claire’s Festival Plaza

Global Fest – Elliston Park

Country Thunder Alberta – Prairie Winds Park

August 16-18, 2019

Shine your boots and dust off your hat; this music festival highlights some of the best artists that country music has to offer.

Expo Latino – Prince’s Island Park

August 16-18, 2019

Things heat up at this spicy festival. Whether you Salsa, Merengue or Cumbia, you will feel the rhythm coming from this event.

Circle Carnival – Shaw Millennium Park

Pack up your pup, this festival is dog friendly! The best of Calgary’s food trucks encircle the stage while festival-goers revel. No beer tent required – this whole festival is licensed.
